Haimchar is situated in Chandpur District in Bangladesh. 200 years ago British Loard William Haim visited in Haimchar. Thats why people decided to call the area Haimchar. It situated in the bank of the Meghna River. 80% 0f the people are farmer. 5% of the people servive to catch the fish from Meghna river. 70% of the land area of Haimchar gone to the Meghna river. Meghna Continiously damaged the land of the farmars by its stong current. Thats why most of the farmer became a land less. There are no work except agriculture in this area. Now 60% of the farmar live under poverty level. Hereby I attached the video clip in the bank of the Megna.
Government of bangladesh were not take the proper steps to save the farmar lands and did not arrange any training & work for the workless farmar. I belive that if we give the vocational training to the farmar and also arrange fund trough Micro Credit. They can became a assets in bangladesh. If any person and International NGO interested to help the farmar please communicate the following e-mail address : alampramila@yahoo.com
